NUHonours Awards shortlist announced

FIFTY-NINE hospital heroes have today been named as finalists in the NUHonours Awards ceremony.

These annual awards recognise staff at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) who have gone the extra mile in their contributions to delivery exceptional care and services for patients and their families/carers.

We asked patients, the public and staff to nominate the people who have made a real difference to their lives over the past 12 months and we received over 1,200 nominations – making 2018 a record-breaking year.

From these nominations our judging panel have carefully selected finalists for each of the 19 categories, ranging from Team of the Year to Clinical Star Award.

Tracy Taylor, NUH Chief Executive, said: “These awards are about recognising the hard work and fantastic achievements of staff, volunteers and fundraisers at our hospitals.  We were inundated with stories of the compassion, care and dedication shown by members of ‘Team NUH’ and it was not an easy task for judges to choose their finalists.

“Very many congratulations to all of the shortlisted candidates. They should be very proud to have made it this far against some extremely tough competition.”

The full list of finalists can be viewed here.

Winners will be announced at a special awards ceremony at the East Midlands Conference Centre on Friday 23 November. NUHonours Awards is possible thanks to the support of the Nottingham Hospitals Charity.
