Welcome to our new Associate Non-Executive Director

We're pleased to welcome a new Board-level member to Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust (NUH) to join our pursuit to become outstanding for health outcomes and excellent patient and staff experience.

Natalie Sigona joins ‘team NUH’ on 27 September 2018 in the role of Associate Non-Executive Director.

Natalie has almost two decades of experience working in senior Human Resources roles, which have required expertise in Diversity and Inclusion and Culture Change as well as Learning and Organisational Development (OD), Leadership Development and HR Transformation.

Since 2000, Natalie has worked at Rolls-Royce, most recently as a Global Diversity and Inclusion Consultant and previously in Operations Manager, Customer Support and HR Business partner positions. She has also worked as a Transformational Coach and Volunteer HR advisor for Derbyshire County Cricket Club.

Natalie has a track record of delivering improvements in Diversity and Inclusion, OD, team work, appraisals, HR systems and processes, line manager behaviour and staff experience and retention. She is passionate about employee experience, welfare and engagement with staff and the NHS.

Eric Morton, NUH Chair, said: "Over the last year we have made a number of appointments to Board-level positions to ensure we have the right strength and depth of experience across Non-Executive, Associate Non-Executive Director and Executive Director positions that reflect the challenges we face and the leadership role NUH wishes to play in the health and social system in Nottinghamshire moving forward. Improving staff engagement, recruitment and retention and transforming our services to ensure they are fit for the future are right at the heart of our new long-term strategy, and Natalie can add real value in these areas and others. I am confident that her fresh perspective and considerable experience in HR, Organisational Development, Transformation/Change and Engagement will serve to further strengthen our Trust Board. I look forward to welcoming Natalie to her first Board meeting at the end of September.”

This is a replacement Associate Non-Executive position at NUH. Natalie will become a member of relevant Trust committees and will attend Board meetings. She will not have a vote at the Board. Her salary will be £6,157 and length of contract is two years.
