NHS 70

Celebrate NHS 70 with us

The National Health Service is turning 70 on 5 July 2018.

As part of marking this milestone for one of the nation’s most loved institutions, we will be recognising and thanking our extraordinary staff for the contributions they make to your care at NUH every day and across the years.

We’ll be featuring staff working in different roles across NUH each day in the run up to 5 July to find out their stories and their reasons for working in the NHS over the years.

Share your memories

If you’ve got memories of the NHS as a patient, volunteer, carer or member of staff at NUH, then why not share them with us? You can send you stories in to us here or on social media using the hashtag #NHS70.

Celebrating our NHS 70 stars

Throughout 2018, we’ll be celebrating our NHS70 stars as part of our annual awards:

70 reasons to join Team NUH

We have asked our colleagues to give us 70 reasons why they enjoy being part of Team NUH, working in the NHS. We asked for 70 reasons - and we got even more.

They told us they are proud of our commitment to patient safety and the fact that we’re a leader in clinical excellence and outcomes; they enjoy being part of a busy, dynamic Trust. They are excited to make important contributions to the next generation through teaching, research and innovation; working with world leading clinical experts using state-of-the-art facilities and being at the forefront of utilising technology to improve patient care.

There are so many reasons to join Team NUH this year. Which one will you choose?
