Interpreting and Translation Opportunities

Do you speak other languages?

We are looking for caring individuals to join a service providing translations for patients at our Trust.

The development is part of the Trust’s drive to provide a better service to non-English and LEP patients. The Trust is looking for qualified interpreters and volunteers who can be trained and provide a service while they work towards a formal qualification.

If you are a bilingual speaker, language student or native speaker with an excellent command of English and are interested in volunteering or already qualified interpreter interested in freelance position please email your CV with an expression of interest to nuhnt.its@nhs.net 

Currently we are particularly looking for people who speak any of these languages:

  • Albanian
  • Kurdish
  • Pashto
  • Somali
  • Tigrinya

Any other language will be considered depending on an in-house demand
