Simon is now two years into his recovery and said: "The NHS were so brilliant when I needed them. I am feeling a bit apprehensive about watching the episode back, it will be an emotional watch.”

Simon's wife, Jo said: "It is amazing to see the response of the staff. There is a lot that goes on behind the scenes, that we weren't aware of before seeing the programme."

In the Children’s emergency department, 20-month-old Evelyn is with her mum Rachel, after she burnt her finger on a mozzarella stick. Rachel talks about her joy of being pregnant until a scan brought some worrying news for both her and Evelyn
