24 hours in A&E Series 2, Episode 7: Say you'll be there

Channel 4’s latest instalment of the brand-new series of 24 hours in A&E airs on our screens tonight at 9pm, Thursday 27 March.
The RTS award winning documentary returned to Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust’s (NUH) Queens Medical Centre in 2023 for another series - a place where stories of life, love and loss unfold every single day.
The seventh episode in this series follows the stories of patients who have been brought to QMC under unexpected circumstances. This journey also reveals the untold stories of their loved ones standing by their side. Despite facing their own personal struggles, these unwavering supporters become pillars of strength, offering hope and love when it’s needed most.
18-year-old Mica is rushed to QMC after a car mounted a pavement and collided with Mica and two other pedestrians. After being found unconscious, doctors are concerned about the extent of Mica’s injuries, especially to her head and face. Mum, Lyndsay, is by her daughter’s side whilst explaining how she never thought she would ‘become a single mum twice over’.
Elsewhere in A&E, 61-year-old Crispin has come into the department with his partner, Stella, after struggling to speak. Stroke consultant Ash is on duty and concerned that Crispin’s struggle to communicate has been caused by a stroke. While stroke specialists try to determine the cause, Stella shares her story of how she met Crispin and the health obstacles they continue to overcome as a couple.
The fly-on-the-wall documentary began airing the brand-new season in February 2025. 24 hours in A&E provides an inside look into one of Europe’s busiest A&E departments showing the challenges healthcare professionals and patients overcome on a daily basis.
