How has COVID-19 affected you? New study aims to find out

Nottingham University Hospitals is joining with hospitals around the country to try and assess the impact of COVID-19 on our mental health and wellbeing.
Around 90 people have already taken part in the Psychological impact of COVID- 19 pandemic and experience: an international survey, since the study opened last month. Volunteers are asked to complete an online questionnaire which has been develped by the study's sponsors at Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust, working with the University of Portsmouth.
Principal Investigator for NUH, Lindsay Crate, Clinical Research Manager working in the Research & Innovation department (pictured) said:
“People’s mental health is of more importance than ever before, and we would encourage our staff, their friends and relatives to take part in this online survey. The results will enable the study sponsor to provide input which may help to shape future mental health care.”
The survey takes around 10-15 minutes to complete and includes questions to assess how the COVID-19 pandemic has impacted on people’s mood in general, and whether the virus has had a knock-on effect on people’s overall well-being and lifestyle.
The aim is to capture the views of individuals aged 16 years and above who are willing to take part.
The study is exploring the psychological impact of COVID-19 on the general population, as well as individuals with pre-existing vulnerabilities or mental health conditions. People who have had COVID-19 and their families are also able to participate, as are healthcare professionals.
To take part, people can access the survey online.
