The official announcement - Team NUH Staff Awards sponsor reveal

We are pleased to officially announce the sponsors of our Team NUH Awards, taking place virtually on Wednesday 15th September. Our organisational values, and the behaviours that underpin them, are the crux of our staff recognition and awards programme (the Team NUH Awards), and we are grateful to be working with organisations that pride themselves on similar values, and that are passionate about supporting staff here at Nottingham University Hospitals to be celebrated and rewarded for outstanding work.

It has been a year like no other, and we have been proud to support our Team NUH colleagues as they faced the daily challenges brought on by the pandemic. It has been heart-warming to see the local community come together to support our NHS hospitals, and we are so pleased to be able to show our hospital staff, through this award, just how much they are valued and appreciated.”

Volunteer of the Year Award, kindly sponsored by...

Tusker

“CPC Drive in partnership with Tusker are proud to be a sponsor of this year’s awards. CPC Drive has worked with the NHS to deliver the Car Benefit Scheme for over eight years; we know how tough the year has been for everyone at the trust. We are thrilled to be judging the Volunteer of the Year category, which celebrates the incredible volunteers and the roles that they fulfil across all campuses of Nottingham University Hospitals.”

Nottingham University Hospitals are very grateful for the support of the award sponsors. We look forward to celebrating all those recognised throughout 2021 with quarterly awards, as well as announcing the overall annual category winners from the shortlist of quarterly winners.

There are nine categories in the awards each with a dedicated sponsor that is aligned to the value and behaviours underpinning the category. Throughout 2021, the judges have reviewed nominations at quarterly intervals; January, March and June, and a winner and highly commended has been surprised by a member of our Executive Board Team with their award. In September, we are bringing all of these staff together to celebrate and recognise them formally at an official virtual event. The final quarter of judging (August), will be done by an external panel, and overall category winners will be revealed.

These new awards replace the NUH Honours, and are aligned to our Team NUH Values and Behaviours. There are nine categories; one for each of our seven Trust values for staff to nominate under, one for the public to nominate under, to show their thanks to the staff involved in their / their loved one’s care, and one for Volunteer of the Year.

We wish to thank all of those who have submitted nominations so far and we remind staff and the public that nominations are open all year round, so it’s never too late to submit. Those received from May 31st 2021 onwards (or July 31st onwards for the Volunteer of the Year category), will be judged in January 2022.

Submissions can be made via our website.
