NUH intranet launch
The new NUH intranet is now available for all staff across NUH.
The new intranet should be the default homepage for all users. (please restart your laptop/pc if this is not the case).
The old intranet is read-only and will be permanently shut-down on 6 December 2024.
If the new intranet is not your default homepage, please restart your PC/Laptop.
New intranet homepage and navigation
The new intranet has a new homepage and style, this means that links to pages/documents that you have been used to may no longer be available via the homepage but will be available elsewhere on the intranet.
Bookmarks/Favourites - Links to the old intranet will not work when the new intranet launches. You will need to update your links once the new intranet is live.
Clinical systems - Access to clinical systems will still be available on the new intranet and built in the navigation system across every single intranet site, please see the navigation video at the bottom of this page.
What about all the content on the old intranet? Is it still available?
Yes, but only for a very short period. The old intranet will be read-only until it is switched off permanently on 6 December 2024.
There are more than 250+ sites on the old and new intranet with content from HR to Clinical teams and more. Each site has an owner/editors from each team or service. Site owners/editors have been working to migrate content to the new intranet, only up-to-date content will have been migrated with older out-of-date content no longer available.
Will the URL 'NUHnet' get me to the new intranet or is there a new address?
The URL to sites/pages will change but your browser homepage will update to the new homepage from launch day.
I am a site owner/editor, is there any guidance on updating our pages?
We have created a set of intranet standards that site owners/editors are required to follow to ensure the intranet is kept up-to-date.
I can't access the new intranet, who do I go to for help?
You will need an @nhs.net account to have access to the new Intranet. If you do not have an @nhs.net account, please contact the Digital Services Helpdesk.
If you do have an @nhs.net email but are struggling to access the new intranet, you may need to switch profiles in your Microsoft Edge browser and sign in using your @nhs.net email.
Find out how to switch profiles by reading Guidance On Using Multiple Office 365 Accounts 1.pdf [pdf] 1MB
Some of the content seems incorrect on a site/page, who do I contact to get it corrected?
Sites on the new intranet are managed by the relevant teams/departments. Each site has a site owner who is responsible for the content across their site and its pages.
If you have any queries on a specific site on the new intranet, please contact the site owner listed in the footer of their home page or use the Site A-Z to find the owner of that site.
I can’t find what I need on the new intranet, how do I find it?
If you urgently need to access content that was on the old intranet, which you can’t find on the new intranet. You can still access the old intranet for a short period of time (until 6 December 2024) but be aware that the old intranet will no longer be updated.
