This award offers our patients and communities the opportunity to nominate any of our staff, individuals or teams, for demonstrating high quality clinical care, compassion or kindness.
Heather was nominated for being an outstanding healthcare assistant who provided exceptional care for her nominator's grandmother during her hospital stay. Heather’s professionalism and empathy have left a lasting impression, and her nominator is forever grateful for the care she provided.
The team were nominated for going above and beyond for their nominator's son, who was an elite gymnast before suffering a severe heel injury that led to Chronic Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS). Their compassion and dedication helped him regain faith in healthcare professionals and thanks to their unwavering support, he has made significant progress. Their nominator said, "They haven’t just done their job; they’ve transformed his life by helping him believe in himself. "
Rebekah was nominated for providing exceptional care to her nominator's baby son who was born prematurely and has congenital hypothyroidism, which requires ongoing management. Her consistent presence at appointments has allowed the family to build a trusting relationship, enhancing their confidence in his care. They are incredibly grateful for her outstanding support, which has significantly eased their concerns about their son's health and development.
Mr Singh was nominated for saving the life of his nominator's son, bringing him back from the brink of death through miraculous medical intervention. His actions profoundly changed the family’s life and after three surgeries, Mr Singh has stayed in touch with the family, offering constant reassurance.
The ward B47 team were nominated for providing exceptional care to the father of their nominator during his last eight days on the ward. Their nominator wanted to express their heartfelt gratitude to the entire team for their compassion and support during this end of life care, not just for him, but also for them during an incredibly difficult time.
