Breast reconstruction

This is a specialised clinic for patients who are considering surgery that involves partial or total breast reconstruction or adjustment (re-shaping) of the breast. Your doctor or nurse will advise you if they think this clinic may be helpful in planning your surgical treatment.

Nottingham Breast Institute has a highly trained team of breast and plastic surgeons who routinely work together to provide a full range of breast reconstruction and re-shaping procedures. In this clinic it may be necessary for several members of the team to examine you together. A friend or relative or a nurse can be with you for support. It may be necessary to re-examine your breasts and examine other parts of your body including your back, tummy, thighs and bottom.

There will be opportunity to discuss treatment options and the specialist team will help guide you (using drawings and photos) to making a decision about surgery.
