Children's Allergy
The Children's Allergy Service at the Nottingham Children's Hospital (QMC) provides a service for a range of allergic conditions, for the children and young people within the Nottingham area. Referrals are accepted from other hospitals, consultants within the Trust and from GPs within primary care through the electronic referral system.
Children with allergic conditions or suspected allergy may be seen by any of the General Paediatric Consultants, all of whom are experienced in dealing with allergy. Children with more long-term or complex allergic problems or requiring further support may be referred to the Children’s Allergy Team.
The Allergy Team comprises of two Consultant Paediatricians with a special interest in Allergy, Specialist Registrars, an Allergy Dietician and two Specialist Allergy Nurses. The team has expertise in diagnosing, treating and supporting children and young people with allergies and their parents and carers. The team also works closely with other specialist teams in the Children’s Hospital and with other hospitals in the UK to ensure we provide the best care for our patients.Contact Us
Changing appointments
In order to make an appointment with the Children’s Allergy Service you will first need to see your GP to obtain a referral.
