Fertility Network UK
Fertility Network UK provides free and impartial support, advice, information and understanding for anyone affected by fertility issues.
They are a patient-focused fertility charity and are here on a practical and emotional level whatever your experience of fertility issues to offer support services, information and access to a community of people affected by fertility problems.
They can help: if you are considering your future fertility; if you are trying to become parents; if you are facing the challenges of childlessness; if you are successful after fertility problems and if you need help to access NHS-funded fertility treatment.
Fertility Network UK also have a support helpline which you can call and can also be contacted by email at support@fertilitynetworkuk.org. They also run events and courses to support you.
Parenthood In Mind
Parenthood in Mind are an organisation that works with individuals, couples and their babies in the transition to parenthood, and with parents of children up to 5 years of age.
They can provide psychological support covering areas including Contemplating Parenthood, Pregnancy & Birth, Becoming Parents and Parenting Under Pressure.
NUH Fertility Clinic
NUH Life at QMC
NUH Life is the fertility clinic and outpatients service based at QMC.
NUH Life offers:
- Regular open evenings to find out more about fertility and treatment options
- Specialist fertility counselling and support services
- An inclusive, ethical and compassionate fertility service, where all proceeds are re-invested into the NHS
- Self-funded and NHS-funded specialist fertility treatments, including ovulation induction, donor insemination (DI) and intrauterine insemination (IUI), with success rates well above the national average
- Gateway to IVF providers in the local area
- Donor sperm for use at NUH Life or elsewhere
- 10% discount off the first self-funded treatment package for NUH staff

Open evenings
Trying for a baby? Come along to an upcoming Fertility Opening Evening:
NUH Life run patient open evening events several times a year, where everyone is welcome to tour the clinic, find out more about fertility, treatment options and using donor sperm. There are doctors, nurses, andrologists, counsellors and the donor team available to ask questions on the night and lots of information to take home with you.
We welcome everyone, including:

Couples with children already

Patients with a raised BMI
This is a public event (not staff only) for anyone who is trying to conceive or pursuing fertility treatment, a chance to tour the clinic, see sperm under the microscope and speak to experts about:
- Improving their fertility
- Referrals and funding
- Fertility treatments
- Male fertility
- Donor sperm
- Emotional support
There will be consultants, andrologists, nurses and more available to chat to people on the night. This event is open to everyone, including those who aren’t eligible for NHS-funded fertility treatment.

GP open evenings
NUH Life also run regular GP open evenings, for GPs and clinicians to find out more about the fertility referral pathway and NUH Life services.

Tommy's charity offers resources and support for baby loss, premature births, and information on making pregnancy and birth safe.
Miscarriage Association UK
The Miscarriage Association UK can help you with the difficulty of miscarriage, they provide information and support to help you understand what's happening and the feelings around it.
Miscarriage Support Group

Zephy's: Nurturing support for bereaved families
If you have suffered a loss, Zephy's is there to support you with Nottingham-based services like counselling, meet-up support groups, pregnancy after loss, wellbeing walks, and tailored support for mums, dads, and healthcare workers.
Sands: Saving babies lives, supporting bereaved families
Sands offer a safe place for you to grieve and find support, whether you are a parent, sibling, grandparent, NHS professional, or friend. They offer a helpline, support booklets, local support groups, online communities, information guides, and more.
The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust
Ectopic pregnancy is a common, life-threatening condition that is the leading cause of death in early pregnancy. The Ectopic Pregnancy Trust offer information and recovery support, including within the workplace.

Sands: Support for Black Communities
Pregnancy and baby loss affect all communities, but we know that some can face additional barriers when looking for support. That's why Sands has created a safe space for black parents, family members, and others.
