Neuropsychology at Linden Lodge

What is Neuropsychology?

Neuropsychology is a specialist area of psychology, and focuses on how brain activity relates to how we think, feel and act.  In the NHS, Clinical Psychologists are trained to help patients with mental health difficulties, and may choose to specialise in neuropsychology, where they work with people who have a neurological condition, such as traumatic brain injury, dementia or stroke.

Linden Lodge is a 25-bedded neurological rehabilitation unit at City Hospital. Its team provides comprehensive specialist assessment and treatment for patients aged 16 and over with a wide range of neurological conditions.

Specialist medical, therapy and nursing teams work together to help each patient improve their health and wellbeing as much as possible and support them to return home or go into a care environment.  Currently we have three specialist Clinical Psychologists working as part of the team.
