Neurosurgery - Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus Assessment Service

This is an in-patient assessment service for people with suspected Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus.

Referrals

Patients  can be referred to the Clinical Psychology Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus Assessment Service by any NUH based neurosurgeon. If an NPH assessment is required by a neurologist or an non-NUH based neurosurgeon the normal practice is to refer to Mr Richard Ashpole, Consultant Neurosurgeon, NUH. NPH Assessment is classified alongside elective surgery, and due to pressures of COVID and current elective surgery restrictions there may be a long wait for an NPH assessment.
